[dropcapcircle]S[/dropcapcircle]ASC has ongoing relationships with Strathcona Community Centre in Vancouver, B.C., near Vancouver’s Chinatown. Historically, SASC teams travel to Vancouver for a two-day basketball jamboree, on President’s Day weekend. Games are played on Saturday and Sunday with a social event for teams and family members on Saturday evening.
This season’s SASC Vancouver Jamboree will be held February 16-17, 2013 in Vancouver BC. Each SASC team will play at least one game each day. Depending on match-ups, your team could play two games each day. Traditionally the first day teams are mixed with half SASC and half Vancouver players to foster friendships and friendly competition. The gym location and schedule will be released at a later time.

SASC has arranged a group rate at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, B.C.. While SASC has arranged these rates, you are welcome to stay anyplace you like for the trip.
All rooms include:
- $10 food and beverage voucher per room (max 2). Good at food outlets inside River Rock

The above rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are per night, based on single/double occupancy. Extra person charge is $25 per night, per person. Room rates are subject to 14.24% hotel tax.

Saturday Night Social
SASC will have the Thompson Room at the River Rock Casino for members to stop by and socialize from 7pm to 12am. All families are invited to come by to mingle with other SASC families and have some snacks. Board & Operations members will be available to answer any questions.
